Shea Butter

Has rejuvenating and moisturizing effects on the skin

Shea butter is made from the nuts of the shea tree, native to Africa. The benefits of shea butter have long been discovered and appreciated by the cosmetic industry. It can be used by both adults and children, as it is a completely natural emollient, excellent for caring for dry, sensitive, or irritated skin. Shea butter is known for its healing, nourishing, and regenerating properties—it rejuvenates and moisturizes the skin. It contains numerous fatty acids: oleic, linolenic, palmitic, and stearic acids. These acids are nearly identical to those present in the stratum corneum of the skin. This similarity is a definite advantage, making the raw ingredient non-irritating and well absorbed. It regenerates the skin’s surface layers and significantly surpasses many other known natural ingredients in this regard. It smooths and renews. Thanks to the presence of vitamins E and F, it regenerates the epidermis and protects against external aging factors such as sun, wind, and cold. It is suitable for use on irritation caused by excessive sun exposure, as it acts as a natural UV filter. However, it’s important to note that its level of protection is low and not sufficient as a standalone sunscreen. Shea butter restores skin elasticity, helping delay the skin aging process. It is also excellent for body and hair care.
