Maintains moisture in the skin
Hyaluronic acid naturally occurs not only in humans but also in other animals and even bacteria. In the body, it exists in the form of sodium hyaluronate, which is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. Unfortunately, from the age of 25, the level of hyaluronic acid in the body gradually decreases. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that retains moisture in the skin. A single molecule can bind 1,000 times its own molecular weight in water. It helps draw water into the skin, supporting the function of its barrier and maintaining firmness. The hyaluronic acid used in our serum formulation is a humectant with a low-molecular-weight structure (molecule size: 0.3–0.5 MDa), which allows it to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. Due to its properties, hyaluronic acid:
- Strongly moisturizes and also contributes to conditioning the skin,
- Has anti-wrinkle, anti-inflammatory, and soothing effects,
- Acts as an antioxidant and has anti-aging properties,
- Actively participates in the production of collagen and elastin fibers,
- Facilitates the penetration of active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin, thereby increasing their effectiveness.
