Reduces the negative impact of stress on neurons

Lion’s Mane Mushroom – Hericium erinaceus – is a medicinal, adaptogenic mushroom belonging to the basidiomycete macrofungi (Basidiomycota), order Russulales, and the Hericiaceae family. It grows naturally and is widely cultivated in Asian countries. Numerous studies have shown that the active compounds present in Lion’s Mane are erinacines. Additionally, active ingredients called hericenones (A and C–H) have been isolated from Lion’s Mane. These are highly valuable acids, for which Lion’s Mane is the only known source. The mushroom is also rich in essential amino acids, polysaccharides, and minerals such as potassium, iron, zinc, selenium, germanium, and small amounts of sodium. Lion’s Mane is a plant with nootropic effects. The active compounds it contains (mainly erinacines) stimulate the production of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF). This factor is crucial for increasing the growth rate of neurons and may positively affect brain plasticity.*

Studies suggest that it may act as a dual-function supplement that improves sleep disorders while also maintaining anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) effects.**
